active draft. a technical sketch. general, before special —alignment, before distraction

Assume a coherent universe.

Coherence is a measure of alignment, and arbitrarily scoped:

  1. Universal phenomena align
  2. Isolated scientific disciplines are not aligned

coherencescope example:

  • a movie is a hierarchically scoped composition
    • composed of sequences
      • which are composed of scenes
        • which are composed of shots
  • every shot ( scene, sequence, and the movie itself ) is a distinct scope of concern
  • every scope must be directly assessed for coherence
  • it is entirely possible for a scope to be considered incoherent even in the case all constituent scopes are considered coherent

coherence – reconcilable primitives example:

  • the primitives of a movie are any phenomena referenced or implicated in any scope, and therefore candidates for reconciliation across scopes
    • tangible – physical
      • item, location, weather, etc
    • intangible – abstract
      • story, character arc, temperament, motive, etc

The scientific endeavour is incoherent, because isolated scientific disciplines are composed of primitives which cannot be reconciled across scopes, which violates the axiom.

Ours is a coherent universe, representable by a grand unified theory of all universal phenomena; such that all phenomena can be reconciled and related by universal common measure, and reasoned by the circumstances in which they arise, and participate.
